What Is Seakeeper Ride?
Seakeeper Ride is changing what a smaller boat feels like on the water. Seakeeper calls it a Vessel Attitude Control System, and it’s built for boats in the roughly 19 to 42 foot range. Instead of a gyro, it uses compact controllers mounted on the transom below the waterline. Their rotary blades deploy in fractions of a second to counter pitch, roll, and yaw. The system reads the boat’s motion on all three axes and makes up to 100 adjustments every second. The result can be up to 70% less pitch and roll while underway. That means less bow slamming, less side-to-side rocking, and a boat that stays level even when passengers move around.
Benefits of Seakeeper Ride for Your Boat
For boat owners, the benefits show up on every trip. Your family and guests stay comfortable instead of seasick or sore. You can run in chop that would normally keep you at the dock. Unlike traditional trim tabs, Seakeeper Ride adjusts automatically, so you spend less time fiddling with controls and more time enjoying the run. It also integrates with select Garmin, Simrad, and Raymarine displays, so you can monitor and control everything from your existing MFD.
Seakeeper Ride Models and Boat Sizes
Seakeeper Ride comes in several sizes, so there’s a fit for most of the boats we see. The Ride 450 is designed for boats up to 26 feet, the Ride 525 for boats 27 to 30 feet, and the Ride 600 for boats 31 to 36 feet. For boats around 37 to 42 feet, the Ride 750 and 750 Quad provide extra lifting force with stronger aluminum components. Our team will help you choose the right model for your hull and transom.
